Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I have multiple
pets, can they share a suite?
A:
Yes! However, pets
sharing a suite must get along well together and eat the same kind
and amount of food. If it occurs that guests sharing a suite need
to be separated due to altercations between them and there are no
vacancies at the time, one may be rotated between a crate and/or a
personal patio until a suite becomes available. This will result
in additional charges at the regular daily rate.
Q: Can I
bring my pet’s belongings?
A:
Yes! While it’s
not required, you may bring bedding and toys from home to further
your pet’s comfort. We encourage you to bring an old t-shirt that
you have worn but not laundered prior to checking-in. The shirt
holds your scent and will be placed with your pet(s) to reassure
them in your absence. Cloud’s Canine will not be responsible for
the replacement or return of any destroyed items brought from
home.
Q: Should I
bring my pet’s food?
A:
Yes! All meals
and/or medication are supplied by the owner for their pet’s
comfort in order to avoid upset stomach and diarrhea caused from a
sudden diet change. Please provide an ample amount of food for
your pet’s stay PLUS 3 days extra for good measure. Please portion
your pet’s daily food in a plastic bag or container with their
first and last name on the outside with feeding instructions
enclosed or attached to the container.
Q: What if
my pet won’t eat?
A:
We will not
allow your pet to starve! Our special blend of wet food and sauces
will entice the pickiest of eaters. We also monitor your pet’s
intake and elimination to ensure that their health needs are being
met.
Q: What if
my dog won’t relieve himself in the outdoor patio?
A:
No problem! Our
canine guests are walked on leash three times a day and rotated
through our outdoor playground where they have ample opportunity
to eliminate.
Q: Will
someone spend time with my pet?
A:
Yes! Our caregivers
provide unmatched care. Regular room service with personal
attention between your pet and our caregivers will provide for all
their personal needs.
Q: Will my
pet get to play with others?
A:
Pets often act
differently when they’re away from their home. For your pet’s
safety and well being, we custom designed our Canine Cottage and
Cattery to provide optimum entertainment and safe socialization
opportunities for your pet without assuming the risk of allowing
guests to interact with others outside of their immediate family.
This practice is also encouraged by veterinarians.
Q: Is my pet
left alone at night?
A:
No! Our owners,
Tony & Lori Cloud, reside on the property and monitor guests
through the night. Guests are secured in their suites with a
bedtime snack, low lighting, and soothing music that plays
throughout the night.
Q: What if
my pet gets sick?
A:
We hope that
your pet’s health will not require veterinary attention during
their stay but if the need should arise, guests will be taken to
the nearest available veterinarian and all costs incurred for
veterinary care will be paid by the owner at the end of their
pet’s vacation. Canine Cab charges of $1.00 per roundtrip mile
will be applied.
Q: Will you
give medications to my pet?
A:
Yes! We gladly
administer oral medications but are unable to provide injections.
Our canine cab may transport your pet to a nearby veterinary
clinic to receive an injection if they are needed during your
pet’s vacation at an additional rate of $1.00 per roundtrip mile.
Q: What if I
can’t get there during business hours?
A:
Call us if you
are running a little late and we will wait a few minutes until you
arrive. However, we maintain strict business hours in order to
preserve a calm environment for our guests, as well as allowing
our caregivers needed time for personal renewal that results in a
higher level of care for our guests. |
